Chamkila was founded by two people living in India, one Indian and one Japanese. We hope you will bring these special pieces, with India's charm and a Japanese sensibility, into your everyday life.

Minerva Bhasin / From India

Drawn to Japanese culture from childhood, she studied Japanese and joined a Japanese company in India. Working in textile production and product development, she has led many projects as a bridge to local manufacturing.

Yuko Hyodo / From Japan

Majored in textiles at university, then worked in business development in Tokyo and Southeast Asia. Based in India since 2023, she explores new ways of making while working closely with local materials and production. She also trained at the Kenyan apparel brand nomadic artisan.
